Company charged with corporate manslaughter

Corporate Manslaughter Charge

In the first application of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007, the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised a charge of corporate manslaughter against Cotswold Geotechnical Holdings Ltd in relation to the death of an employee that occurred whilst he was working.

Commenting on the historic event, Marc Schroder, CEO of mhl support said "It was a matter of time before this happened. The Directors of Cotswold would never have wished for any of its employees to be harmed whilst they were at work, let alone killed. However, the Crown Prosecution Service must believe that the Company got things pretty wrong at senior management level to bring the charges"
